{Cake Smash}: Joshua is ONE!

Joshua is one and I can't believe it!   When we arrived for his photoshoot he was napping and woke up a little groggy!  Here is his "Blue Steel" look!

I have a very talented who custom creates cakes for all my cake smash sessions, check her out of facebook - A Great Many Things!

He was so serious for his portriat part of his session! 

So we decided to break out the cake instead! 

Still so serious.....but he loved to smash the cone!

and poke his eyes...

Mound of delicious cake!

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to!

Well that didn't last long thanks to his funny Uncle Stevie!

 Happy Birthday to you Joshua!

  You might recognize Joshua from this session the night he was born...

Or his newborn session...when he was just a few days new...

Or when he was four months old and I stuck him in a Santa bucket for his Christmas session! 
{those toes kill me!}

Or when he was seven months and I stuck him in giant bowl of cheerios!

I can't believe you are already a year old!  I remember the night you were born.  Uncle Stevie and I were heading out of the country on August third, we were so concerned we would miss your birth (thinking of that broke our hearts)!  We called your mom everyday for three days before you were born hoping that she was going into labor so we could love on you before we left!  Thankfully you arrived with two days to spare!  We were smitten with you immediately!  Over this past year we've had many planned and unplanned photoshoots, I've loved being able to capture your first year
